Comparing Depth Of Color In Esc Keys
Running some test prints on keycaps using some different fonts, the group on the left(top) was done first with .4mm depth and the right(bottom) was done with a 2mm depth, the colors came out much more vibrant without the black blending in.

The ledends were cut quite a bit deeper in this set I think the color is going to come out much more vibrant

This first set of caps printed for real off my new https://caps.waylonwalker.com app came out really well, I can tell the legend cut is not deep enough and the two colors are mixing too much. I'm actually surprised at how much I like the thinner sets better than the thicker sets, I thought thicker would have done better prints.
Caps Got Good Adhesion
No raft straight on the bed with a .4mm sink into the plate stuck really well, none fell off mid print. I've strugged to get grids of caps to print well in the past.
First iteration of the caps app is working, I cannot believe it.

T Handle Wire Puller

I’ve been fighting not having a proper pick/hook in my toolbox for a long time. This fathers day weekend my son pulled out an old box of rc plane supplies from my days trying to build planes like flight test. Inside there was a pack of piano wire. Rules [1]-8 Need a tool make a tool. He had pulled this out while I had the soldering iron hot plucking away at a keeb build that I’ve had sitting idle on the workbench for a long time. The dream of having several identical working builds at the same time is very close to fruition, I just need some more work on the clone. You see I was once a mechanical engineer, not electrical, so 3d modeling is my hammer that I can turn into a tool for any solution, and I’ve just not put the time into learning pcb design. Someday maybe. I always just take some scrap copper make a little look and twist it around until I can get it close enough to pull with some tweezer...

3x3-3 Gaming Keeb Complete

I’ve been having issue with my keyboard disconnecting to my main desktop for awhile. Today I got a cheap bluetooh dongle in and am giving it a run this week to see how things go. The first step was to move it to the new adapter. I’ve never had multiple adapters installed so this was a new to me process.

I was able to do it all with the same keyboard, It did require some juggling between usb and bluetooth modes pluging and unplugging, two keyboards would be simpler to reason about.

I can’t be bothered to change my brain to think about this machine on a different zmk profile it is of absolute importance for it to remain on the same profile, otherwise this would be a simple bind to another empty profile.

Why not use a cable on desktop?

I dont mind cable, and have used one on this setup for years, but I have actually been picking up and moving this keyboard and using it with different devices.

I’ve got a big battery and performace cranked up, unless my machine is under load I do not notice any key lag.

I did it with bluetoothctl, I’m sure it could have been done with a gui like blueberry or blueman.

Now I plugged into usb. And importantly cleared out the zmk profile. If you do not clear the profile your board does not go into pairing mode.

Put 42Block in pairing mode, then:
pair <42BLOCK_MAC>
trust <42BLOCK_MAC>

At this pint I saw this show up in the logs, I think there was some masking issues or something in zmk, output kept going out usb no matter what so I disconnected the keyboard and typed the passkey in, and it worked.

[agent] Passkey: 540044

Boom, it just started working right away.

Gradient Keycap Results
The gradient keycaps turned out pretty good, but I'm not sure what I did wrong with the interface between the raft and the caps, that came out ** rough, but the effect works.
